  • Carolin Hingst 4.70

After a change of coaches and a less succesful last year Carolin obviously is back on track, erasing Annika Becker's old indoor record of 4.68.

And Yulia Golubchikova cleared 4.65 in Moscow on Friday. Looks like a good Euro indoor final is in store.

How did I miss this? Nice jump indeed.

Can anyone tell me a little about Annika Beckers accident, it seems to have put her off the sport for life?

Because it was a small competition. In fact she was wearing running tights while jumping. You may see view the jump at :

I used to compete in tights all the time. I don't think the sponsors care as long as the athletes wear the tights they give them. Maybe it was chilly where she was jumping.
