Cool event, with a nice prize awaiting a sub-4 winner. Too bad it's the weekend before the USATF Champs and the week after Pre. How dare the Canadians not base their schedule on ours!

IIRC, Mercedes used to sponsor the 5th Avenue Mile in New York. It's interesting, isn't it, that they're still doing a mile in Canadia, but not here in the States.

Mercedes Mile is back
"January 23, 2007 - Cambridge, ON
Cambridge, Ontario will once again play host to some of the world's best
milers on June 16, 2007. The Mercedes-Benz Classic Mile continues to
celeberate middle distance running in a unique and meaningful way. Two time
champion Laban Rotich is scheduled to return and race for the big prize on
the historic clay track at Galt Collegiate Instititue. The stakes will be
even higher this year as the fastest sub-4:00 performer of the day (4:30 for
women) will win a 2007 B-Class Mercedes-Benz valued at more than $32,000!
