  • T&FN Offices Closed 4 Days [now a HJ thread]

Today (Friday) through Monday, there will be nobody answering phones, faxes or e-mails at T&FN, as our palatial corporate headquarters will be getting new paint and carpets.

So the mice can play? Or do the cats have computers at home?

I don't understand-voicemail, call-forwarding, fax forwarding to email and remote access. I'm hardly ever in the office and no one knows it.

Liar! Your vaunted detail proves this is obviously not GH's office.

yes, the Mtn Vu Boiz cleverly decant all their imbibables into Root Beer bottles to deflect criticism!

It's one thing for select individuals to work by remote, quite another for the business staff to do so.

Before they started work on the ceiling yesterday had to pull down the high jump bar that hangs inside the front door. It's a World Record height of course, and it was quite sad to pull it down because it reminded me that for the first 23 years I was at T&FN we had 17 occasions on which we had to climb the ladder and shorten the string.

And now it hasn't changed in 13+. :-(

You can nail it. It isn't changing, at least in our lifetimes.

I'll betcha (even though you and I are pushing it! )

Let's make it an even MILLION dollars. If it's broken, you pay me. If one of us dies, I have to pay you.

Men's will not never be broken last.

The WR HJ record is only as secure as Beamon' WR LJ record was.. and Carl Lewis will not be the last human to surpass Powell's current WR
