    Re: IAAF Council to meet

The Council always only meet in Europe. There is a bigger world out there. How about Asia, Africa, South America, & North America sometimes?

        Re: IAAF Council to meet

Since the coming to town of the IAAF Council certainly goes overlooked by the general populace/media, what's to be gained by staging the meeting around the world? I can't think of any, and I would applaud the IAAF for fiscal responsbility by staging most meetings (I assume) at its headquarters in Monaco, which not only minimizes airfare costs but also removes any need to be renting expensive meeting space.

The major cost saving in having meetings in Monaco results from the fact that the staff members who attend the meetings do not have any travel expense. The meeting space is rented even in Monaco--the Council meetings there are normally held in hotel conference rooms, not in the IAAF offices.
