  • Shalonda and Bershom at Penn

Were they both incredible or what! Shalonda really showed her range in both the 4x4 and 4x2 relays. To overcome such a deficit and to overtake Kelly Ann Baptiste from 8-10 meters down was something to see. And Bershom and the Poly team, what a performance. I really liked Bershom's jets in the heats of the 4x4 where the kid came up on him in the first 200 and then Bershom turned it on and won by 25-30 meters. I was also impressed with whoever ran the 3rd leg for Poly in the 4x4 final. My thoughts were that if Bershom got the stick within striking distance he would walk down whoever was leading. I never thought he would get the stick with the lead he did. Great legs for everyone on Poly's team actually
as Bershom's split was about the same from the earlier heat but the team shaved about 4 seconds off the time in the final. Wow!

I'm never disappointed when I attend the Penn Relays!

Please go get your eyes tested.

Nellum go the baton about 5-6m ahead, opened up another 2-3m immediately and was almost caught at 325m. He then maintaine his cool to win by about 3-4m. Blake he chaser actually had a slightly faster split. Go watch the race again at flotrack. There was never a case of any 25m lead!!!

He may have been "almost caught" at 325 metres, but that:s not how I saw it. Blake came up on him at the top of the straight, and Nellum extended his shortened lead when pressed.

The original poster was referring to Poly's heat on Saturday morning.
