The fourth annual Tommie Smith Youth Track Meet, sponsored by the philanthropy group 100 Black Men, brought kids from about two dozen elementary and middle schools together for a weekend of competition, lessons in health and discipline, and fun. The winners are scheduled to advance to a regional meet.
It wasn't just the kids having fun Saturday. The parents and coaches were all smiles as well.
