With her recent 11.73, maybe Privalova has the beating of her in this event afterall!
"If Gaby worked as hard with the weights as she did with her tongue she'd have a different concept of beauty. To get performances like mine, she'd have to sacrifice some of her good looks. The women of the west dont work as hard as we do" JK
"This was an OK start for me. I am absolutely no in shape at the moment. If I only could get a little more training, my races will be faster. But I opened better than last year".
hey, that's not so bad for a first race. i really hope she can meet the world champs standard of 11.32. it would be awesome to see her in Beijing. she says she wants to try. check out this TV interview she gave for Norwegian TV.
I have to say, the last few seasons she has started slowly but made steady progression...I really don't want to see Merlene a distant last in all her races- it ruins the legacy to some extent...as long as she is competitive, keep going, but if she isn't going to get past the heats or even qualify for the major championships, perhaps its time to hang up the spikes...
