I have a suggestion for Gary Hill re Letters to the Editor in the print version of Track and Field News, which is that he should refrain from commenting on letters.
The whole point of having a Letter to the Editor section is to give readers a chance to comment on something that they feel is important.
By allowing Mr. Hill to comment on their comment defeats the purpose of exercise.
Mr. Hill not only comes off as rude and sometimes petty, he most likely discourages writers from submitting Letters to the Editor.
Sometimes, Mr. Hill, it just makes more sense to let a point go without trying to win it or justity your own point of view.
If you want to run a monarchy, then I suggest that you eliminate letters to the editor.
Now, please do yourself a favor, and do not respond to this.
