The Woodlands High School was utterly dominant at the Texas state championships yesterday -- 35 points (more than 60 ahead of the next school), and the AVERAGE time of its runners for the 5K course was 15:52! Pretty staggering -- I was (and 18 years later, still am) the best distance runner in the history of my small-town high school, and I likely wouldn't have even made varsity at the Woodlands.
