Did anyone know there is a high jump going on?

10 Men have cleared 2,20m. Holm the methodical master against Thomas the new guy.

Yes, it is a good field for sure.
If you're ever walking down the beach and you see a girl dressed in a bikini made out of seashells, and you pick her up and hold her to your ear, you can hear her scream.

They just showed Thomas and he does looked vastly improved! His head wasn't up.

Holm just brushed-barred 2.28m on a beautiful jump... a very important clearance.

I said the other day give Thomas some time, his coach is slowly working out the issues in his technique. Did show in that last jump.

But what you saw a third attempt on 224. Far away from his 2,30+ shape earlier. Hurt by the cold? perhaps more the swedes and russians?

why? It's only 2.28. Could he have more nervous tics in his approach preparation?!

Isn:t Holm now leading with this mark and on count-back?

A first jump clearance is always important at this level.

And we are worried about Holm making it because . . . ?

Because Janku just cleared on his second.

Janku ain't no Holm. Why all the angst about Holm at a routine height for him?

I assumed you asked Why 2.28 was important. At 2.28, misses usually mean a difference between 1 to 6 place.

Janku beat Holm at home last season at EC:s. He:s got his credentials. Now that Holm has cleared 2.28m on first, he has all the cards.
