An IAAF Forum participant asked if there would be any TV of the 2007 World Youth Championships. George Matthews (ENG) replied on Tuesday, July 10:

"There is one hour on Eurosport next Monday, July 16, at 2330 hrs GMT."

I'm hopeful that Canadian TV, which we can see in Seattle, airs that hour. But I think there was more coverage of the 2005 World Youth Champs, e.g. almost every step of Boys 2000m steeple.

Perhaps the well-informed T&FN Forum participants can share some current, encouraging news about 2007 World Youth Champs TV for their IAAF brethren.

Coverage of a distance race? Whoa, sounds good.

Around here (the U.S.) they show more minutes and reruns of the sprints and hurdles than the distance races by far--like ten minutes of the 100s for each flight and the last ten seconds of maybe one distance race and the steeplechase, men's only. Sometimes they'll show the men's and women's mile/1500, if there's a name U.S. runner in.
