    But what if the bots are huge Webb fans? 8)

    So who died in the Potter book?
    Peter Rabbit's father. He was cooked in Mrs. McGregor's pie.
    That's the Potter book I read to my son.

    First we're forced to contend with HJ marks given in meters. Now we're subjected to, um, bots and PHPBB (whatever they are). What next? A critique of the shutter speeds and f-stops used in the Walter Dix cover photographs? :wink:

    since we weren't talking absolute numbers, rather relative ones, number of bots (we dont' discriminate!) is irrelevant, assuming that traffic stays relatively constant. If the previous high was also botted, then it's still a tie, so still happy!

    So thanks again to all who took the time to participate.

    Actually if you look at bot traffic that front page number is WAY low. Right now the front page says 31 users and there are 80+ user agents currently hitting the board. Most of those are bots. Since bots have fairly regular traffic patterns they should not actually effect the top end numbers much. I'll poke at the code and see how PHPBB is calculating it but off the top of my head I'd guess it is by unique IP & username combo.

    Edit: Code proves out my theory. Set being looped through is ordered by username, ip

    Code:
                            // Skip multiple sessions for one user
                            if ( $row['session_ip'] != $prev_session_ip )
                            {
                                    $guests_online++;
                            }

    No Amazon delivery for me. I had to go down to Borders to pick up my copy of the last Harry. Now I have to avoid all mention of the book in the media. This is complicated by a huge read pile, with the clock ticking on the Gore book and the latest J Patterson. As, technically, the Harry belongs to my grandson (the series is what made him a reader, to JKR), Mary & I decided to let the kid read the book first. We had always read them first (excuse, his B-day is in Oct), so he gets first shot. At least he won't be bugging us "are you done yet?".
