Digital photography lesson 101: resolution is irrelevant. We can work with whatever rez a photog sends.
But if there isn't enough data in the original image, you can't use it. As you make the resolution higher, you shrink the size of the image, since you're working with a fixed number of pixels.
So to repeat: one has no way of knowing from simply looking at an on-screen image whether or not it will work in print (with the chances of it being so decreasing as you make the picture larger).
