if america can't find a relay team with 2 guys who can't take out 2 - 3m on clement who & mullings , with wally no worse than losing 1m on bolt, leaving tyson 1 - 2m up on safa, then they shoudn't even enter a squad

Texas, I take it this scenario assumes Spearmon drops the baton?

Clement and Mullings have both ran a 10.10 this season, Bolt a 10.03. If the handoffs are there...hmmm?

Apparently Bolt has just as much sprint speed as Spearmon.

By the same token, GBR didn't have a chance against the US team in Athens

that was the onl eam in history with 3 guys of 9.8 current form + shouda been capel( who'd gone ?mid-9.9 that year ), but instead got coby

on paper, that team shoud not only have won gold at a stoll, but smashed the wr into unprecedented territory if they'd run perfectly

All four of these guys have ran similiar times. 10.04-10.10 so far this season. As ya know the 4x1 is not the 100m. When sprinters are that close in the speed department the least little thing in a relay can make a big difference. The USA is not that big favorite this year. Jamaica will be right there with us.
