  • Hind Dehiba lifts the lid on French Doping

See below from L'equipe. Hind Dehiba has given the French Federation and the IAAFinformation on who has been doping in France. These include Bob Tahri and other athletes who were given EPO by no less than Khalid Skah, Barcelona 10000m champ. Needless to say, they've all denied it.

You can find a more detailed account of the story - in French - in Le Monde which was the first newspaper to write about it yesterday evening before L'Equipe this morning.

Can an athlete be banned for the possession of drugs?

I wonder how crap Dahmani and Fahroun would be if they weren't taking anything!

I don't have the electronic version, or a translation - but L'equipe devoted the entire back page to this today

In case the first post gets clipped for copyright reasons, here's the article (in French, of course):

If they're on WADA/IAAF's banned list In Italy yes you can.
In addition, if the amount of drugs found in your possession is large, you will be charged for trafficking.

I believe in France the law is about the same, since France seems to have the strictest anti-doping policy of all countries.

I could but I can't be botjhered...there really isn't much need, it tells you everything you need to know in that (admittedly rough) Babelfish translation to be honest
