Richards will doing the rare 100/400 double. With her PR being 3-years-old, what are the chances that she'll surprise us the way Usain Bolt did a couple of weeks ago? Also, if Allison Felix is getting 4x400 consideration along with 4x100 consideration, what would it take for Richards to get 4x100 consideration at this point in the season?

Originally posted by SpeedsterThat's what Richards has indicated. I also think she wants to lower her 11.28PR as mentioned in the IAAF article. I agree that she'd need to be in the 11.0s so challenge for a 4x100m spot and if she's been available to practice.

The bigger question to me is: Is Richards ready for a double? Why would she do this, given her illness problems this year - perhaps to prepare her for rounds in Osaka?
I hope she's strong enough. I just read up on Behcet's Disease, and it sounds like about as much fun as a sharp stick in the eye."Run fast and keep turning left."
