It would put her into 9th, just behind Privalova and ahead of Ottey.

    From the 400m thread:
With times of 11.01/22.11/49.70, Felix scores a combined total of 3629 on the IAAF scoring tables - good enough to move up from 20th to 17th on the combination sprinters list, just ahead of Kathy Cook.

But Sanya - with times of 11.05/22.17/48.70 and a score of 3652 - leap-frogs over Felix from 19th into 11th, equal with Grace Jackson.

Jon's posted it somewhere check out the 400m thread.

It's something like Allyson to 19th and Sanya to 13th.

Which one is really gearing her training MORE towards being a 200 runner in Osaka? Why is Richards running slower than usual over 400, and much quicker than ever over 100? Never underestimate what Mr. Kersee can pull off.....VBH, anyone? Never underestimate Clyde Hart either. This is shaping up to be the mother of all coaching battles.

Yes. Should be a great race!
They're both awesome, and right now the world has turned upside down, cuz I believe Sanya is clearly faster over 100 [since she's training more for the short sprints, one would hope] and Felix is just gettting going in the 400.

I think Felix's accomplishments and current speed at the distance bode really well for her to win but I will be pulling for Sanya of course (hook em horns !!!). I will be happy if they both medal.

Well, Felix already has one global gold on her resume and Sanya doesn't.
