i'm shocked to have even seen sanya run a 400 against felix, barely more than an hour after a stunning 11.05pb into a wind ( as pointed out, nearer 10.90 with a good wind )

for a gal who doesn't often run 100's, her feet must have felt like lead boots after that 100 ( always remember monty's classic quote after he ran 9.78"wr" :

i coud hardly walk for the following week

i assume she only did it in an attempt to get a diamond

It sucks to be Sanya right now. She just pulled off 11.05/49.72 double and nobody will remember it. Surely, this is just as impressive as what X-man did last year.

I was just think it was Felix who seems to be positioned about like X-man from last year -- but of course she's earned a bit more major bling than Carter has (or ever will?).

Deedee Trotter doesn't even deserve a lane in these big invitationals after this performance, but evidently her agent got signed contracts for the whole summer after Indy but before she started her European campaign. Otherwise, how else would she still be getting in these meets?

With times of 11.01/22.11/49.70, Felix scores a combined total of 3629 on the IAAF scoring tables - good enough to move up from 20th to 17th on the combination sprinters list, just ahead of Kathy Cook.

But Sanya - with times of 11.05/22.17/48.70 and a score of 3652 - leap-frogs over Felix from 19th into 11th, equal with Grace Jackson.

And note that the sprint times have not exactly had the best conditions wind-wise (well, the 100, I cannot recall the particular 200 that is her PR, but I do not think it will be her PR some September anyway).
