There is a family from Denmark moving in across the street from us in a few days. They are going to hit these conditions and wonder how they ended up in Hell compared to what they're used to.

It's amazing what the senses pick up n adverse weather changes. Also, have you ever noticed you can "smell" snow in the air before an impending snowstorm?

Back to the topic, the highest recorded dew point on the planet is 95 degrees.

It's nice to go back to the future, March 20 2007, when I said wait for July or August when, if we get lucky, we'll see dew points that almost duplicate the miserable conditions in Mombasa. Now go out and race 12k in this crap.

Factoid of the day: it's now the cool season in Mombasa with highs 80-81 degrees.

I am also in the northern part of Ohio. A 75-minute run in our "heat index" of 101 wasn't so bad when I was able to stay out of the sun. Still, the Miller High Life was much appreciated afterwards.

I haven't been able to run for three weeks so I don't notice the heat. Leaving the physio the other day and the lady says "Don't melt out there." I honestly didn't know what she was talking about.
