Not according to Pela's site. What is the other one you are thinking of?

I went to cross country practice that night, and a teammate who watched the meet on ESPN told me about Reynold's WR (we didn't have cable back then). At first I wasn't sure if he was pulling my leg or not. It was only about 15 months after Reynolds took the low-alt WR down to 44.10.

Jeremy Wariner's Average for his top 5 400 times

With his 43.50 run, he moves from 4th to 2nd when averaging the top 5 times of everyone who has broken 44 (not including performances of Lee Evans and Larry James because of Altitude, and laziness)

    Michael Johnson: 43.18 - 43.39 - 43.44 - 43.49 - 43.65
    Average: 43.43

    Jeremy Wariner: 43.50 - 43.62 - 43.91 - 43.93 - 43.99
    Average: 43.79

    Quicy Watts: 43.50 - 43.71 - 43.83 - 43.97 - 44.00
    Average: 43.80

    Butch Reynolds: 43.29 - 43.91 - 43.93 - 43.93 - 44.08
    Average: 43.83

    Danny Everett: 43.81 - 43.98 - 44.06 - 44.09 - 44.20
    Average: 44.03

    Steve Lewis: 43.87 - 44.08 - 44.11 - 44.21 - 44.26
    Average: 44.11

Quincy Watts ran all of his top 5 times in 1992, starting June 6th in Austin and ending on August 19 in Zurich. Micheal Johnson and Jeremy Wariner are the only ones to have their top 5 times all under 44 seconds. Reynold's fastest time before he ran 43.29 on August 17th 1988 in Zurich was his 43.93 he ran in Indianapolis on July 20th 1988, which goes to show you what a freak performance that was. All stats from Pela's site. If you also take Watt's and Wariner's top 3 times, they both average to 43.68!
