I spoke with Susanna for a few minutes a couple of nights ago. She acknowledged the interference, yes Perry was certainly in her lane, yes it has happened before and yes it did disrupt her etc. But for someone who may have been robbed of a gold and most likely lost a WCH medal, she was not bitter. She is such a genuine and nice person. Hard not to feel aggrieved on her behalf......

I'm looking at a head-on shot of the Osaka men's final, and at the sixth hurdle you could make a case (although, admittedly, the shot isn't completely square on, so there's undoubtedly some small bit of optical illusion involved) and you can make a case that both Liu (left-leg lead in lane 9) and Wignall (right-leg lead in lane 8) could be DQ, as their elbows are crossed over the 8/9 lane barrier, each on the other's side. Liu is far enough ahead that there probably wasn't any contact, though.
