"Surely that's a racist comment?? Surely that's against the TFN forum rules??"
The French aren't a race, they're Caucasian. The comment was tongue in cheek and if that didn't come across I'm sorry but sometimes it's hard being subtle without appropriate accompanying graphics.
Michael, as a dyed-in-the-wool satire fan, I did not see your 'tongue' either. Way too many people buy into the stereotype for you to just leave it out there. You limey twit! (or are you a Canuck moose-brained 51st state wannabe?) Now THAT'S humour!
Note: in both instances the U.S. and the French are wrong. Both countries should be embarrassed and rightly so.
now to answer your question. The French hasn't dominated track and field like the U.S. does. And what makes the world want to bash the U.S. track and field program over the THG scandal is mainly because of your arogance while winning. mind you not every athlete is arrogance and a bit of arrogance is sometimes fun, but you guys over do it.
Check the childish antics of some of the U.S. male sprinters. I'll leaveit at that.
