Hey Canucks! LIVE video streaming on CBC

Hubby just told me he saw a scroll across CBC TV that there will be LIVE video streaming from Osaka from 6:30am EST- 9:30 EVERY DAY-Monday through Friday.


If true (I am always afraid to get my hopes up) I am a very happy girl!

My bitching and whining have paid off.

I paid up for WCSN thinking that the champs were covered and find out its blacked out in Canada. Can I cancel subscrption easily for future months ?

Eurosport has pretty much blanket coverage and we can access Spanish Eurosport which has the best quality image through www.channelchooser.com. I used it to see the heptathlon this morning Montreal time.

Time difference is a bitch !

I cancelled my wcsn membership earlier this year when they weren't showing track for a while. First I tried the email method. This did not work, but a phone call took care of it.

Of course I re-upped for the World's though.

Right now we are seeing almost all of the marathon- fine except with only three hours coverage not so fine.
There is a whole lot of not much happening in that race. ops:
I would love to see the women's 10K but don't think it is gonna happen.
Did see some of the Hep though. I am delighted with any little crumbs that come our way. :?

MJD must have connections at the CBC. I'm sitting in another room typing while I listen to the broadcast of a relatively slow race....

CBC didnt work for me, had to stick with Spanish Europsort

Funny thing is taht although my spanish is super limited, I still totally need the sound up to be able to watch it. I guess the whole excitement and ambience transcends language.

I have to have the sound on too mark. And I can only count to ten and say how are you in Spanish.

CBC feed was great.

I watched the whole 3 hrs via CBC feed. Plusses: Live action, no ads, no stupid "human interest stories", no over-emphasizing Canadians. Minuses: So-so picture quality, so-so sound quality, commentators' heavy British accents.
Overall, it was worth it and I intend to get up ay 4:30 every morning!
