That question was answered about a half hour ago. Lagat won and Webb finished 8th in a respectable 3:35.69. He ran the PR of a Jennings or Stember in the WC finals. Now we know why they never made either an Olympic or WC final. Every single finalist was under 3:40.

What type of benchmark is that? All semi-finalists should be under 3.40.
