Does anyone else raise an eyebrow about the relative ranking of American triple jumpers? Kenta Bell beat Walter Davis in our USA championships and the World Championships and had a longer jump for the year, and yet he ranks behind Davis in World Ranking!

Mr. Nelson, perhaps you do not recognize that TFN takes indoors into account especially in the field event and that Mr. Davis won the silver medal in Birmingham. Mr. Bell does not even Birmingham team make and than Mr. Davis beats him in World Athletics Final. Case for Mr. Davis over Mr. Bell seems not a hard choice giving the TFN criterions. -

Davis also held a 4-2 head-to-head advantage over Bell this season.Comment

And from what I can make of the Rankings process, a win in a major European meet counts as much or more than the USATF championships, despite what that bozo Dread would have you believe on another thread.Comment
