With Oregon being the most liberal State in the Union when it comes to the interpretation of "Freedom of Speech" you better buckle your seat belts. A number of small aircraft will be circling Hayward Field pulling banner advertisements just in case you're not sure where to go.

        Re: Eugene 08 Festival

Who are the food vendors? Did you break ARA Services suffocating grip and bring in some of the local talent?

          Food & Drink

Not one beer garden on-site, but possibly even two. Food will be provided by a mix of local vendors in order to offer a variety of cuisine.

TJ - one thought: has the organizing committee considering putting the USATF and corporate sponsors in "skyboxes" at the end of the track as they did in Sacramento? Perhaps the worst thing possible is to have a bunch of empty seats on the finish line as they did in Indianapolis....

Local wineries would be cool too.

check out the map (little late in the game for this suggestion!)

                      Sponsor Seating

Sponsor seating on the finishline side is not in one block. They are spread throughout the West Grandstands.

Ever go to the (at least used to be) smallish Alpine Winery/Vineyard. It was northwest of Eugene not too far, if I recall correctly (I was coming from the north/OSU)?

Yep, except for an additional 385 yards (might have made 2:33 for 26-even). Not good by serious runners standards, but I only made it up to 7th man on my HS JV XC team after four years.
