Former heptathletes Sabine Braun and Birgit Clarius have been selected as the double heads of the German Heptathlon Team Executive committee. They will assist in organising competitions, training programmes and community initiatives and meetings. Heide Ecker Rosendal was the head for the last 12 years.

Braun won the world title twice (91 & 97) and Olympic bronze in 92. She won world silver in 93 (nearly toppling JJK - she lost by just 40 pts) and was 3 pts off bronze in 99. She was 5th in the 00 Olympics and won the european title twice. Her PB is 6,985 from 92.

Clarius was 7th at 92 Olymnpics and 8th in 93 worlds. She got a bronze in the world indoors in 93 in the pentathlon.
