This is one very busy day of track. They're running this race while two Americans, maybe three, have won medals and are still posing for photos on the infield.

And that's got to be hectic on the infield. They have it laid out for a shot, javelins on both directions, and either a hammer or discus from both ends of the field. The schedule must be so tight the grounds crew won't have time to pull up the sector markers after one event and reset them for the next.

It's a mixture of that race, plus others.

Lane one is definitely an American, and it looks like Gatlin.
Lane two is definitely Jason Gardener.
Lane three is either a Trinidadian or Canadian.
Lane four looks like Tim Benjamin (!). Definitely a British kit.
Lane five is Jamaican. Could be Dwight Thomas or Asafa Powell.
        Lane six is Obikwelu.
        Seven is MLF.
        Eight is Pognon.

Well it could be ht 3 of the QF's where Gatlin beat Gardiner.

The first 4 at least from the 1st QF are definately in the pic.

What struck me was the double horizontal runways on the home straight side. Paris had that, and IIRC, there were sight line problems in certain seats. But from what I could tell of that London design, the seats seem quite a bit recessed from the track So the sight lines should be ok for the horizontals, but the seats will perhaps be farther from the track and most stadiums.

Gatlin is in lane one. I suppose his ban will be up by then.
I guess he changed his name in hopes no one will recognize him. The stadium scoreboard certainly doesn't say "J. Gatlin".

Of course, I was kidding. We all know there's no such thing as global warming.

I'm not certain having the one jump pit right at the finish line is a great idea, either.

The original picture is hugely inaccurate - where is the grey sky and teaming rain?(!)
