  • New Year's Resolutions

OK, Christmas is so five minutes ago. I figure I will only have to run 32-34 miles tomorrow to work off today's repast, so my thoughts turn now to the new year. Give me a resolution for yourself, the message board, USATF, USADA, IAAF, WADA, whatever. As for me, as a track fan, (my personal resolutions to improve myself would take 2GB of server space), I resolve to

    a. run more than I post
    b. be part of the solution, not the problem
    c. support USATF's efforts, whatever they be, they mean well, and they're all we've got
    d. enjoy all athletes' efforts, regardless of whatever gossip pops up.
    e. appreciate a HS freshman girl's 7' PV PR as if it were an Olympic Record, cuz that's where it all starts.

    Re: New Year's Resolutions

    1. run enough to "get in shape" and to do decently in the Indy MiniMarathon and the Boulder Boulder, plus a 200 mile 12 person relay in San Francisco

    2. Have fun with all of the above, nothing more

    3. Have a great time looking forward to and during the Athens Olympics ( and there is only ONE sport in the Olympics )

4.Keep reading and posting on the T&FN Board w/o being negative with anyone

Bravo -- these are positive and forward-looking; except for the "run more..." bit. Too old and too large, but it's fun to watch.
