It is interesting to note that there are three sophomores over 7' in the high jump this year.

Antron Jackson (Fl) 7'0" (T&FN lists as a junior, however he is a sophomore)
    Harrison Steed (Ca) 7'0"
    James White (Mo) 7'1"

At the Wisconsin Twilight today/tonight, someone mentioned that a Wisconsin HS guy went 25 (and a half, or so) in the LJ.

In the meet itself, Andrew Perkins went 1:49.96 in the 800 (he is not competing in HS this year because of disagreements between his father and the coach/school, as I understand it).

    The Next Big LJ/TJ Phenom

Although the USA can always count on a few good athletes near the top of the men's LJ and TJ, our depth at the top is in recession. News out of Georgia's state meet is encouraging:

Christian Taylor of Sandy Creek HS jumped national leaders with a 25-6/52-6.5 double.
