Why is her coach an idiot?

Don't know why (genetic?), but I'm pretty sure that pounding a college freshman is not really in the best interest of the athlete. Kinda outta of the Len Miller handbook. Run your people in multiple events, head to head early in the season, then be suprised that they break down by the big meets.

S/he isn:t an idiot, but as often happens with CA JUCO, one is run to the brink of near extinction come conference time. One has the rest of the summer to recover before going on to complete the remaining two years at a four-year institution.

former age group and high school star ebony collins won 5 individual events, the
100, 11,77 (12,13 heat)
200, 24,75 (25,14 heat)
100 hurdles, 13,76 (14,75 heat)
400 hurdles, 57,67 (65,21 heat)
long jump
both winning relays 46,42 (47,33 heat); 3.51,90 (3.57,63).

former age group and high school star ebony collins won 5 individual events, the 100, 200, 100 hurdles, 400 hurdles, long jump and ran on both winning relays. to win 7 overall events for west los angeles college at the southern california championships and she will presumably do all 7 events again at state this weekend (how many events can a college athlete enter)?

i know there was a thread last week about the texas girl winning state by herself, and carlette guidry, wendy brown and others have done it at the high school level, but if an athlete could do it at a higher level in college that would really be amazing. (of course she has to be helped by her relay teamates ) and they have not won yet. but 50 points at the college level WOW.
