One thing Eugene certainly isn't going to run shy on is volunteers. See story now on front page, which notes that they're going to be using 2100 of them at the OT. And apparently they had to turn people away.
Next time you wonder why the list of bid cities for the Trials tends to be so small is indeed the volunteer factor. You've got to be able to marshall 100s of people for a couple of weeks (not sure you need 1000s, but it's not going to hurt, I'm sure).
