  • too many words!

Dudes: your site has great potential, but do we really have to read that whole page of "commandments" every time we want to get to the threads?

ps--i did read it once, but you'll excsuse me if I choose to scroll down to the end in the future.

Yeah, bit of a pain isn't it? We'll just leave it there for the first week or so, so that the bulk of those choosing to sign on will hopefully take the few minutes needed to read the groundrules.

We'll make it seamless very shortly. Thanks for your concern.

If you add the http "Message Board Main" to your favorites file, it will take you right to it, skipping the instructions....

After ten years or so moderating the t-and-f list, I think TAFNEWS would be wise to make everyone go by the list of commandments at least every couple of times. It's good -- and sometimes necessary -- for some people to be reminded of the rules!

Of course, everyone on the list could get an automatic e-mail monthly thanking them for their participation and letting them know of any problems which have cropped up.

Congratulations to E. Garry and the new service! It'll occupy some time in my daily routine from now on!

            Garry,

I like the way this new T&FN forum sorts the posts by thread, but it is certainly less convenient to click around the Web site than to simply receive a continuous stream of messages in my e-mail inbox.

Good luck with the venture. I guess I'll have to check the "old" and "new" sites for a while to see how it goes.
