    Hilda Kibet - 30:58.48

    http://www.iaaf.org/OLY08/news/kind=108 ... 45097.html

Fastest time in the world since 2006. Kiplagat needs to run again to get the qualifying time as she was a DNF - so hopefully it'll be third time lucky.

Hayley Yelling got the 'B' standard of 31:49. I really hope she gets selected this time because she is probably one of the most unluckiest athletes with Olympic qualifying times. In 2000, she was one-second off the 5000m and in 2004, she was 0.14 (!) off the 10000m 'A' standard!

Jo Pavey and Kate Reed have the A standard, so can we take two athletes with A qualifications and a B?

Fastest time in the world is a bit faster than that, mate. Good news for her, however. I do trust and hope Yelling gets that auto mark.

What I meant to say was that it was the fastest time on European soil since 2006

Don't forget to add: "by an athlete of non European birth."

tirunesh dibaba does not have the A standard ye in the 10kt, her winning time at worlds is only the B standard, i would think ethiopia will send 3 to the olympics so t. dibaba will have to get the A standard, i know ostrava on june 12th has a womens 10k, but that is only 6 days after t. dibaba tries for the 5k record. anyone know where t. dibaba will try to get her A standard?
