Can Breaux Greer Throw 100m?

I have always believed Breaux Greer has the ability to throw 100m.

In all the years of throwing and coaching I have never seen an arm like his - truly amazing.

Now at age 31 and with a dozen surgeries under his belt has time run out for Breaux?

As impressive as his accomplishments thus far have been will he go down in history as one of the greatest unfulfilled talents ever?

Here is a throw I filmed (in 2006 ) from the first throwing session after his 10th surgery - now how many people can say or do that?

No, I think 100 is too much. If he had that ability time has run out.
I'll be ecstatic if either Breaux, Pitkamaki or Thorkildsen gets to 95m.

100 m is Jan country but he lost a couple of seasons with that weird training injury.

I don't think he'll throw 100m but jeez, he had his best year last year, I doubt if it means much that he's 31. I know of some old coots who are still throwing well at 46.

Not necessarily - he may still throw 300', but 328' (100m)? Not so much.

I think he can get over 300 feet, but I doubt he still has it in him to get to 100 meters.......

Yes I agree - having a life time best myselfof 299ft 10" (Old Rule ) I would totally agree!!!!!!!!!!!

stay focused - keep your eyes on the prize Breaux

I think he can get over 300 feet, but I doubt he still has it in him to get to 100 meters.......

He needs to stay or rather get focused - The Trials are in 1 month and the Olympic are in 2. Even if he dosen't throw 100m he needs to win the trials and then go on to Beijing and do the same there!

I am excited for him being the "Hurricane", hopefully he will be a category 5 in Olympic arena this year!

The question is not so far from asking if Saladino can jump over 10 meters. If someone throws over 100m he is either Pitkämäki or Thorkildssen, but they cannot do it either. With PBs of 91m, that would be a huge improvement.

Zelezny's WR is unbelievable. No doubt it was a better throw than Hohn's 104.80.

The question is not so far from asking if Saladino can jump over 10 meters. If someone throws over 100m he is either Pitkämäki or Thorkildssen, but they cannot do it either. With PBs of 91m, that would be a huge improvement.

Not to be picky but Saladino's best is just under 96% of the current world record- for him to jump 10m he would need to improve his best by 1.43m which would be a 16.686% pb increase and would also increase the world record by 11.17%!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Breaux is at just under 93% of the World Record. For him to throw 100m would require an improvement of 8.71m or 9.54% and an increase in the world record of 1.54346%.
So I would say it is quite "far" from the Saladino comparision - sorry.

1.27 improvement for Saladino actually. Maybe 9.20 would be a better example but forget the LJ.
Do you believe Greer will get to 100m?
