    Don't remember about the 3000SC, but yes, the 10K
    I believe was skipped at the FOT's way back then, and the AAU meet the week before served as the FOT in the 10k.

    Finally at some point, can't remember when, they gave up on having a separate AAU/TAC/USATF Champ. meet every 4 years and bundled it in with the FOT.

    And of course they have tried to make the FOT more fair, by abandoning the old 2-day event and instead duplicating the OG schedule over about 8 days.

    Great for the athletes, not so for the fans IMHO.

    But that is as it should be, not complaining.

    But I do NOT agree that the FOT should be spread out even more than it is.

        The last one of those was in 1988 in Tampa. In 1992 and subsequent Olympic years, there's been only the Trials meet.

          Forget the coach, my guess is that Stacy would jump a lot higher if she changed her husband.
