Last weekend at the Chula Vista Trng Ctr, she threw down the gauntlet at all them thar whipper-snappers who said she was done.

It'll probably take 15-3 (assuming good conditions - as BW had for his AR there) to make the team, but 'experience' is a trump card and we'll see . . .

It's not to late to jump on the SD Bandwagon, folks. But we're picking up speed and if ya wait too long, we'll leave you in our dust!! :twisted:

This is UNacceptable. It's been 2 hours since I started this thread, the MOST SIGNIFICANT thread of the YEAR and while several other threads have had posts, this one hasn't?! Have you people lost your minds????!!!

A. I apologize; I had a brain aneurysm, but now I'm better and I completely agree with whatever it is you posted. Stacy is Da Bomb.
B. I was out of the country till just now, but this is indeed the most exciting news in T&F history. Stacy is Da Bomb.

Even I would admit that Lacy J and Jillian S (and JS, of course) may look better on paper than Stacy. Stacy, however, always looks better in person!

I fear that she may well not make it - making a sad exit from the World Scene with a no height that would demonstrate clearly that the world has passed her by. Maria's M.s victory at Pre almost made me forget the pain I felt as she crumbled off the track in Osaka final, but not quite. There's always the chance Stacey can do an Al Oerter and come through, but I don't want to get my hopes up.

I admire Stacy's attitude in the decision to go for it, but I don't want to have high hopes. She was THE trailblazer in the event and she should be remembered for that.
