Good for her. In the face of all the adversity she faces. Certainly wins the award for bravest runner, given that no one else competes in the face of continued death threats!

oh my god... (not trying to imply anything) she looks huge... she really bulked up.

she's not far from breaking the asian record (22.01).

Ehm, She has actually had cosmetic surgery on her face! She's had cheek implants and her lips reshaped. Whether or not you can blame the photography is debatable, but my father's a plastic surgeon and she has certainly had her face completely re- sculpted! That is bizarre....

Not to mention the biceps. It's certainly not the gradual increase in muscle mass that one would like to see in an athlete, particularly a female athlete who are notoriously difficult to bulk up THAT much THAT quickly (if ever)!

LOL, well I guess 4 years isn't THAT slow (wish I'd have looked at the bib ops: )- but it's still shows a huge amount of effort and time. Congratulations to her, I can't see that being an accepted trait for women either..body building! She is determined and obviously dedicated! Much luck to her

I was merely pointing out the possibility. Believe me, I'm skeptical too.

I don't care much about the WADA thing, but she's clearly a man.

Download the 100 video of her from another thread. Tell me she won't be in the medal hunt in Beijing. This was her FIRST 100 of 2008: Edwards better watch her b-hind.

She appeared to almost stumble before the finish line.
                        Take good care of yourself.

Funny how you mention Edwards of all people, fitting comparison...

I have actually broken the habit to throw allegations around, but this is definitely suspect if you look at the pictures and her improvement. She stumbled twice, the first time from the starting block and then before the finish line and still ran a 11.12. This is starting to remind me of Nesterenko in 2004, I wouldn't be shocked to see her constantly run under 11 seconds six weeks from now. :?

                              apropos croflash:

i noticed that al-gassra seemed to be a phenomenon with incredible potential in the last few years, yet bahrain never seemed to enter her in regional/continental championships (except for last asian games in doha). so while she was attracting a lot of media attention, she also never seemed to race much. that's my impression, is that correct? maybe she was occupied with school?
