She apparently has firm plans to go to Poland with Team USA for the World Juniors shortly after her 1500 prelim regardless of the outcome. BUT... what if she runs something ridiculous like a 4:05 and qualifies for the next round??? I wonder if they'd change their minds about leaving Eugene?

Wish the kid all the luck in the world, but she should really skp the finals and head to the Juniors on a high note. None of the high schoolers has been able to perform well after their one supreme effort and Jordan gave her all in the semis."Who's Kidding Who?"

Oh, and she seems to be racing well too . . .

Even if she were to crash and burn in the final, that experience would be far superior to a victory in Poland. She is the darling of this meet. USATF used remarkable foresight (for them - a gratuitous slap in the face for which I apologize, but after the Goucher affair, they are an easy target) in letting her stay. This is a great story and we need more like this.
