I forget the details, so who can remind me the story behind this kid? He's the next Multiple Mac - led the nation as a jr. last year at 209'6 DT, but had marks in SP and HT. He's seems poised to break the HSR in WT. He's not a native citizen (I thought), but he has no ' after his name. Related to another big thrower (Swede?). Sorry about my lack of details, but I'm too tired to drag out the old T&FNs to sift through, and I know someone here knows all about him.

Re: Leif Arrhenius HS 80-6 WT
Has two brothers at BYU. Daniel (junior I think) and Niklas a freshman. Niklas is NHS record holder in the discus and world junior runnerup. Although he has been our of high school for two years, he is a freshman this year (Mormon mission). I predict great things from him. Looks like Leif isn't to shabby himself. Yes they are Swedish citizens.

Re: Leif Arrhenius HS 80-6 WT
Brother Nik (NHS DT Record-holder), in his first meet (this weekend) since returning from a two year mission, threw 58'9.25" (NCAA Provisional Q)--not bad for having two years off. Other brother Daniel, took second in same meet at 55'3.5", (PR 63'5"). Leif holds the Junior and Freshman class records for the weight throw...I think he'll add one more to his list.

Re: Leif Arrhenius HS 80-6 WT
Niklas Arrhenius bettered his shot mark to 19.06m (62'6") last week to be currently ranked 5th in the NCAA.
The Arrhenius boys are duel-citizens of Sweden and the United States, and they were born and raised in Utah.
