  • IAAF Fantasy Game: Crystal Palace

    http://www.ukathletics.net/uka-major-ev ... tart-list/

I think my five will be a combination of
    -Phillips Idowu
    -Tyler Christopher
    -Ancuta Bobocel
    -Marilyn Okoro
    -Vivian Cheruiyot
    -Bernard Lagat
    -Barbara Spotakova

    Is the 4-events competition included?

Looks like we are in the same boat. Those are my captains also. But, I saved some big names for this meet, so hopefully I can be in the running for the meet awards. :?

That should make it easier. It was always a coin toss between her and Obergfoll. Now Obergfoll has to be an odds on fav. If I hadn't saved the people I have for this meet I would pick her. Maybe I might change one now??? :?

What's the weather going to be like in London for the meet? Windy?

asking for some GBR input. Sanders or O in the 400 in your opinion? I think I have some solid picks but would like to save some for later on in the season!

Sheesh, apart from the mens 100m, those are some weak ass line ups. ......and over TWO days?? Most of the races are merely domestics, or have been put together to ensure a domestic victory- Multi event thing, omens 400m, womens 1500 etc...

I still have Gay/Powell and Felix to choose put I'm not going to bother use them here.

SO far I've gone fore Big O, Idowu, Okoro, Hoffa and Lagat ...I may change the latter because I have a feeling Baddeley may beat him! Oberfol is due a good competition, surely?

Steph Twell could actually win that 1500 too.
I'd love to go with Tyler in the 400, but that will mean I'd have to root against Gillick and Rooney- whch is not going to happen!

It's just annoying that so many of the big names are out - Saladino, Vlasic, Spotakova, Bekele etc.

                        nevetslim,

I'd steer clear from Bobocel for the simple reason that Jessica Augusto is now in the line up. I'd imagine it would be between Augusto, McGettigan and Bobocel, but Augusto had that awesome opening 'chase in Spain of 9.22 so will be strong favourite. Was she just added in the last day or two?

Yes, Augusto is a very recent addition (after I started the thread) but she has had a lot of DNFs/DNSs (almost every race!) but I'll change tact. I'd love Augusto to win a medal in Beijing because it would be so random!

Bobocel ran to a suicide in Oslo following Samitova and finishing the last 1000m at a pace she does her slow runs

Jessica Augusto ran facefirst into the 1st waterpit on Saturday in Barcelona  Maybe that's why she was a late addition to the race
