America's double world champion Allyson Felix left the stadium refusing to discuss her limp 200m performance which so enraged her that she didn't take her place in the 4x100m relay.
Media over hypes everything, good and bad. I seriously doubt she was enraged and even read where she signed some autographs after the race so she probably just didn't want to discuss it.

Something was obviously wrong, whether it was injury or fatigue so do you really expect her to run on the 4x1 after that? Let's be sensible here.

And Hooker, Muna and Torri all pulled out of the relay before Felix so she wasn't the cause of them scratching.

Agreed, Tex....that's what I've heard from several different sources.

The media- besides being clueless- loves to stir up mess.

      "Enraged."

She may have been enraged at them knuckleheads.

Allyson was tired and went home early Saturday morning per coaches orders. She was not enraged. She is tired. She will go home and train and do her processing at the end of this week.

Once that happened the other girls had no relay so they focused on the 100. No drama.

          There you have it.

No Edwards, Hooker, and Lee all pulling out of the relay first(which I had to laugh at when I read that line. Once one pulled out that would be it ).

Let's hope Felix, or more to the point Kersee, can figure out how to right the ship. 3 weeks to go.

This wasn:t an easy week between Stockholm and London. Felix returned to the hotel late tuesday night and hadn:t come down to dinner by at least 23.45. She may have ordered in (the only one who would have done so in that case), but the wait would have been long, nonetheless. A late evening tuesday after a hard race with a late (or missed) dinner, followed by an early 1h20 minute ride by coach from in T-Centralen back to the airport for a two-hour flight to London would take it out of a person. Who knows how her legs felt.

You can laugh all you want but fact of the matter is Edwards, Hooker and Lee all sat out from doing handoffs Thursday. ALLYSON did not..she did handoffs in practice Thursday.

With all the women the Americans had to choose from, what's laughable is to think an entire relay was scratched because one person didn't run. The relay was supposed to consist of Lee-Felix-Edwards-L. Williams. The other relay was to have been made up of Lewis-Hooker-A. Williams-Moore. Edwards, Hooker and Lee scratching THEN Felix is what resulted in them ultimately forming only 1 relay and using other American women to make up a combination relay.

Smoke is dead on with the rest.

Douglas's leg at the Euro Cup was awful too. Maybe she just isnt a relay runner, bit like Ohuruogu!
