Also if sanya richards didnt make the US team last year... then i have lost any faith in VCB getting a place esp as i believe each of the 3 Jamaican girls in the 100m are better than the 3 american girls who ran the 400 over Sanya last year and have more chance of winning than they ever did (esp with VCB out)

And Tyson Gay must be put in to run the men's 200m!?!.
What would you say if one of the Jamaican women who you feel so strongly should be replaced, wins the gold? What would you say then?
How do you know Veronica will win in Beijing if she is to run the 100?
Everything is easy on paper, and if that is the case why then bother to run the races?
Veronica had her chance at the trials, she did not take it. She will make the relay team so much stronger and it is unfortunate that she wont run the short sprint but rules are rules.
You all should stop, and if you're Jamaican, support the women who will represent the country in the women's 100m in Beijing.
HEY!! SHelly-Ann fRasER (Shearer) is thisyou? You're here trying to sound your own horn? Get Back to training you kno VCB is on the al,ost in your place.

Your talking about two different countries with two different selection processes. In Jamaica only the top 2 are guaranteed. A selection committee reserves the right to pick the 3rd although it generally goes to the person who finished 3rd.

In the US no such 3rd place political process exists.

Also, last year Sanya missed the World Championshipd in the 400m.

        This is an Olympic year.

        Different stakes.

Don't count VCB out yet in the 100m.

I agree with all the wonderful sentiments about VCB , especially her class.

But it has been clearly stated repeatedly in these forums that the JAAA had amended their selection policy after the 2000 fiasco to adopt a 1-2-3 guaranteed selection policy, unless injury , failure to meet the A standard or failure to demonstrate any sort of form leading into the games. So she will definitely not be running we can be certain f that unless reasons above.
