I guess Bolt and Powell are too good for relay practice and that's why they won't win gold in Bejing. With all the sprint talent Jamaica has produced, they've only run sub-38 once in history. Has Bolt even learned to carry the baton in his left hand yet? Trinidad seems to have botched the last exchange but at least they're practicing with the people they'll use in Bejing. With a clean race, they would have won.

Unless Dix is injured, I don't think he should get relay consideration. Has he ever worked out with the national team? Gay has an excuse for not being there, but what's Dix's excuse? At FSU, Dix was allowed to practice on his own and then just show up at the meets and they would stick him in the lineup. I think it would be disrespectful of the other athletes if they let him pull that crap at this level.

Crawford was highly impressive YES, but why has no one commented on Padgett's KILLER back straight...? He destroyed Spearmon and gave that stick perfectly to Crawford.

Gay, Patton, Crawford, Padget and Dix should be the only ones near the realy at this point.

In theory Dix should be on the team, but it really depends if he's trained with them. Padgett to Crawford was slick. With Doc on 1st and Gay last, They'll kill it as it is. Sometimes just putting the big names in doesn't really pay off!

Bolt and Powell aren't Americans in case you haven't noticed, and what Jamaica does is of no concern to me. It's your mentality that's responsible for all the DNF's and DQ's of our 4x100 teams at Global Championships over the years. Haven't you heard the saying that practice makes perfect? Why practice at all if it makes no difference?
