A Loaded NCAA Event

There's an event at the Nationals in Austin that has the potential to see a matchup among five athletes who represent two former champions in the event and three former runners-up in the event. Wonder if anything that loaded has ever happened before?

Anybody want to try to figure out what the event is going to be?

Uh, that would be the NCAA Outdoor Championships--Austin, Texas, June 9-12, 2004.

And to flesh out the credentials of this field even further, note that one of the runners-up is the reigning USATF champion, and another runner-up is a two-time NCAA champion in a different event. And the third of the runners-ups is a former national Junior champion in yet a third event!

My bad, i just happened to be looking at Bucknell's meet schedule, and it had the 2004 NCAA Outdoor championships being at Baton Rouge again......should've known better.....
