Um, i can pretty much GUARANTEE that the women's weight throw world record will be shattered this year!
If I didn't have to worry about my NCAA eligibility, I'd bet the farm on it.

Yesterday Gilreath set a world indoor best for the WT of 23.71m. She's confident in exceeding the 24m mark (apparently has exceeded it a number of times in training). Surely it's just a matter of time before she does it in competition.

I missed that, but I just refound one of the best resources on the net if you're a follower of NCAA track:

Ummm, she set the WR last year on 1/25 with a 23.95 toss

>>That was>outdoors. This one was indoors (hence a world indoor best).<<
really? It's listed as an indoor record. It was an indoor meet, so even though it might have been outdoors (I certainly don't ever remember seeing a WT cage in the UF arena), I think it's still considered indoors.

Tilastopaja list her 23.95m as an outdoor mark and, until today, her 23.71m was listed as indoors. However, now I see that they have changed it to an outdoor mark. I'll ask Erin to clear things up next time I speak to her.
