    Re: Running Gadgets!!! HELP!!

    >the moniker malmo?

I won the featured event at MAI in 1978, defeating hometown hero Dan Glans in the process, scoring my only win of the year. Newspaper declared (paraphrased) "malmo wins malmo."

PS. Glans, who should have beaten me handily, was seen testing a prototype "World Location System" watch.

But was that the first time you were called malmo?

He wasn't called malmo, as he noted with his qualifying remark "paraphrased" ("'former name' wins malmo"). This, apparently, was when he adopted the non-de-plume on his own accord.

Except for telemarketers and the authorities I'm known by no other moniker.

And by the way. Judging by the way my phone rings night and day, I must be the only freakin person in the country NOT on the national "do not call" list!

I competed in Malmo once. It was memorable mainly for the team deciding to initiate an MVP award. The prize was bought from an adult store adjacent to our hotel...

Alex Trebeck: I'm afraid you're WRONG.

"Paraphrased" is used to illustrate that "malmo wins malmo" wasn't the precise wording of the headline.

Just registered my US number and wish they had the same law in Canada.

                        Isn't that what Asterix said?

Nope. What he implied, I would have written as, "(malmo) wins malmo"

                          Got it?

Well, whether I do or don't, Asterix is WAY better at this then I am.

Mark, would you care to share with us the nature of the price? :-)

"prize", not price, of course. Sorry for the typo.
