    Re: Re: Running Gadgets!!! HELP!!

Pego, since it was Sweden the prizes price was actually very expensive. It was an interesting variation of a "positioning system" !

      >Nope. What he implied, I would have written as, "(malmo) wins malmo"

      Got
      >it?

Obviously my knowledge of verbiage is not up to snuff. What I was under the impression I was stating, was that the original heading was "Malley wins Malmo", which was paraphrased by you as being "malmo wins malmo".

To my woefull lack of understanding, that is the same as your example above "(malmo) wins malmo". Obviously neither match what the orignal newspaper heading stated. Perhaps my grasp of the nuances of the language could be improved if you were to share the actual headline, without paraphrasing, without substitutions, although I am willing to accept gratuitous snide remarks about my pathetic incomprehension and excessive nitpicking of something so minor and obscure.

And if you have the chance, could you let me know whether I should place more emphasis on Miss Cleo's suggestions in determining my tempo run pace or those derived from the horoscope in the daily paper?

"Stalker" isn't name-calling? Man! Since you're not an idiot maybe it's that you confuse things so much even you can't remember what you wrote. Or you're ducking the responsibility of what you wrote. Again.

I'm not nitpiking, I'm answering your question correctly. The headline said malmo twice. The precise words were not "malmo wins malmo", but something close to that, therefore it is paraphrased.

I know, I was the one nitpicking (thought that was clearly written, obviously I'm still literarily deficient).

I stand (or at least sit at the moment) corrected.

What makes me a stalker? Because someone writes some negative garbage and I tell him about it?
How long have you had this paranoia that everybody who disagrees with your rudeness is somehow after you?
Or is this just another way the world revolves around you?

No funny two little dots in the headline? Should have been, as there should be in my last name when spelled or pronounced by Swedes.

                      Re: Running Gadgets!!! HELP!!

Too funny. Usual crowd for the Sat morning run. "What's that in your hand George?" A Gps device. The guy is a good friend so I don't tell him what I really think. Part of the run was a 5 mile loop that I have likely run 3000 or more times. It has been wheeled off because it gets used for tempo runs etc. Splits and everything. George goes merrily along and the thing is hitting within a few feet of every split for 3 miles. Then it loses its signal for a bit on and off until the end. The end result is 4.81 miles and serious adjustments to several log books from the last 25 years. Sounds to me like an educated guess based on effort, time elapsed, terrain, experience etc would be just as accurate as that 4% error rate. He's bringing it back.
