  • IAAF Fantasy Game... Zurich

    Zurich start lists here -

    http://www.weltklassezuerich.ch/en/meet ... tlist.html

I spent some time yesterday trying to pick teams for the next three events based on who I think will be in the start lists. Still had some confident picks for Zurich, not too bad for Lausanne as there are some good options for field events but Brussells is proving to be a bit of a struggle. I'm definitely looking at picking the minor placings for that one.

I don't see Saladino on the start list. If he packs it in for the year that will totally sink the boats of all of the people that have him as a captain. And most of those boats are already getting pretty swamped.

Well I don't think I've picked Koech yet and I might take a gamble and choose a 1500m man. Then a long jumper and two more left for consideration.

I still have some of the bigger names available, but seeing how this game went for me so far I might as well roll to the dice and decide.

I've never watched a mens steeple chase in my life! So, I just can't bring myself to blindly go for someone who I've never seen run. Having said that....is Koech THAT good?

                  he has already ruined me.

Idiots like me picked Kallur and Saladino.....and no matter how many perfect meets you have, two captains down is impossible to overcome. Especially when you also decided against Isinbayeva (what was I thinking) and chose a newly fallable Wariner!

Wariner wasn't a bad choice, despite losing twice he has competed a lot and that is more important than winning every race, at least in this game. I agree with Saladino though, that injury really was bad timing and cost me too.

Tsatoumas is no longer listed on the start list for the long jump.

It bores me more than any other event and the one time I chose a steeple chaser in the game so far I failed to notice that they weren't actually on the start list ops:

I haven't found my picks too hard so far I might tweak them a bit but Rachid, Angelo, Shericka, Tia and Jen seem pretty solid to me considering who's left.
