Where is Veronica Campbell-Brown??

Where has she gone since Beijing?? I was sooo looking foreward to seeing her race against Shelly Ann and the gang afterwards and see what kind of times she would produce over 100m?? after her 10.87 at crystal palace I thought she would be even faster after the olympics!


Also, do you guys think she would have beaten Shelly Ann Fraser in the Beijing final?? I think it would have been really close, but I actually think Shelly Ann would have still taken it - no-one was beating her that day! and im glad no-one did, as shes my new little star of the track!

VCB is racing in Zagreb next week.

She was also meant to be racing in Gateshead in the 100m but her name was taken off the start-list a few days before so I can only assume she's had a slight injury or just wanted to go back home.

Remember VCB is recently married, I suspect she rushed home to continue her honeymoon. Seriously though based on how she looked in that 200m in Beijing I suspect that Shelly Ann Fraser would have had a hard time denying her. VCB was in shape to run a PR and I believe would have gone sub 10.80. In their last meeting in London just before the Olys VCB comfortably handled her. The rematch would have been interesting. VCB appears to be focussing on the World Athletics Final and will run a tune up race tommorow in Zagreb @ 100m. If Shelly Ann shows up for the World Athletics Final you will have your rematch.

Shelly Ann is obviously the frontrunner to be ranked # 1 in the world in the event at year end, but if she loses to VCB at the World Athletics Final it might make that outcome very interesting. VCB has only lost once for the year over the distance.
